The US President - Joe Biden in a viral video addressing the world on the last day of what has been termed a four-day visit to the Europe declared Putin as 'unfit' to be President. The President's visit to the Europe and precisely Poland is considered strategic because of the plans being put in place to suffocate the Russian side. Also, Poland happens to be a 'refugee safe-zone' for Ukrainians fleeing the dastardly war.
US President Joe Biden made this statement to Russia's Vladimir Putin on the last day of his four-day tour to Europe. After making this statement, the White House quickly made a follow-up statement, clarifying that the US President never implied a 'regime change in Moscow'.
Dmitry Peskov, Russia's spokesman, in response to Biden's statement said that:
Only the Russian People can decide their President.
Biden, during his speech, also described Russia's attack on Ukraine as a 'strategic failure' and went further to warn Vladimir Putin not to escalate this war or expand the conflict whatsoever.
In the viral video, President Joe Biden said to President Vladimir Putin:
"Don't even think about moving on one single inch of NATO territory.
We have a sacred obligation under ARTICLE FIVE to defend each and every inch of NATO territory with the full force of our COLLECTIVE POWER".
Biden's Speech and the Russian Perspective
Biden's speech did not quite go down well with the Russians and from the Russian perspective, Biden's remarks alongside the military support provided for the Ukrainians and the sanctions imposed on the financial institutions, works of art in Russia etc., are all indicative and suggestive of the fact that it is an attempt to 'silence' and 'further isolate' Russia.
This clarifies why most of the officials talking to the media are saying that this is something which will not only ultimately help strengthen our identity but also cause greater unity in Russia.
